Overview of e-Plan

e-Plan is an electronic service for projects requiring plan review and is a major step toward streamlining the Planning Division's review process. This service saves time and money during the approval process by submitting electronically, directly from your computer when it is most convenient for you. Staff reviews and responds electronically to submittals, reducing paper waste. e-Plan reduces review times, reduces costs, improves energy efficiency through a greener business process, and creates a high level of communication with the City during the development review process. Contact Staff to request applications checklist and to set up the Pre-DRC meeting before formal e-Plan submittal.

Reading and following these instructions will make the e-Plan process more efficient. We have developed a specific process for uploading documents to the e-Plan review which is outlined in the documentation below. It is the applicants responsibility to read and follow these guidelines. Failure to do so will result in a rejected application. Submit an Application

  1. Submission of an application should only be after having a Pre-DRC meeting with the Planning staff and have all documents ready for submittal in the suggested formats and file names. Failure to follow the directions will result in a rejected application.

  2. Digital Signatures are being accepted by using Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If you have not already set up a digital signature, please click here to view a tutorial on how to create a digital ID. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat you can download the Reader for free (click here to download).
  3. Online Application is in two (2) parts. You will be sent a link for file upload at a later time after you complete Part 1. Be advised, if you do not upload any files within a reasonable time, it will automatically be deleted from the system.
