Officer Cheri Stabile, an animal advocate, proven leader, and dedicated professional is this week’s feature officer in our Blue Honor Series! Officer Stabile got her start in law enforcement in 2000 as an officer here at CCPD. In 2003 she joined the Hollywood Police Department where she gained extensive experience as a Field Training Officer (FTO), a Detective, and a Neighborhood Team Leader in the Community Involvement Unit.
In 2016, she moved over to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) as a Special Agent. She investigated Internet Crimes Against Children. During the summer of 2018, we welcomed her back to CCPD. She has quickly risen to a leadership role as an FTO. Along the way she got married (her husband, Fred, is a Detective in the Hollywood Police Department), earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Union Institute and University in Hollywood, and became a Part-Time Adjunct Instructor at the Broward County Police Academy. She has an uncle who was an FBI agent and her mother was a civilian employee in the FBI, and they inspired her to go into law enforcement.
Officer Stabile’s love for her prized possessions, Bella, who is 12 years old, and Lola, who is 11 years old, says everything about her warm, kind, and courageous spirit.
