Copans and Lyons Road Lane Closures

The City of Coconut Creek will be installing a force main pipe along Copans Road from the Turnpike to Lyons Road and on Lyons Road from Copans Road to north of Sample Road. The project construction duration will be approximately 8 months beginning on February 4th. As part of the project, there will be lane closures on Copans Road and Lyons Road. Lyons Road southbound most western through lane will be closed for 24 hours for approximately 2 weeks (beginning on February 27th). There will only be one through lane southbound. Drivers should find alternate routes. Copans Road westbound between the Turnpike and Lyons Road will have a similar setup but for a shorter period of time

Most of the work will be performed between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM and there will be instances when overnight work will be necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your support and patience.

Lyons Road Closed Southbound/Trolley Detours

Starting Monday, March 23rd thru Wednesday March 25th and possibly Thursday March 26th, Lyons Road will be closed southbound only, at Wiles Road. This is due to underground utilities repairs being made.

The detour will be as follows:

Trolley Route:  Will detour west on Wiles to 441, south on 441 to Sample Road

Proceed east on Sample to Lyons and continue route southbound Lyons. Trolley will need to make pickups at Paloma Lakes instead of the Promenade stop which will be closed.

North Route:  After leaving Winston Park Blvd. at 441, will continue south on 441 to Sample Road. Proceed east on Sample to NW 42nd Ave., left to Coral Tree, and right to Olivine. Beginning and ending route at Olivine.

Once again northbound Lyons Road traffic will not be interrupted.

South route will see no disruption in service.

ALL PROMENADE TRAFFIC MUST ENTER THE SHOPPING CENTER FROM WEST LYON’S ROAD.
