Creek Construction Closures/Updates

The City of Coconut Creek’s Contractor is anticipating to start underground utility repair work along Lyons Road northbound between Wiles Road and Winston Park Blvd. The duration of the project will be approximately three (3) months - September 2020. As part of the project, the right turn lane onto Banyan Trails Drive will be closed along with the right through lane on northbound Lyons Road. Periodically throughout the duration of the project, the northbound center lane of Lyons Road will also be closed, as needed. State Road 7/US 441 over State Road 834/Sample Road Bridge Maintenance Project Update

This project consists of painting the steel and concrete portions of the SR7/US441 northbound and southbound bridges over SR 834/Sample Road. Beginning the week of July 12th, FDOT will be painting the bridges over the eastbound lanes of Sample Road. Sample Road’s eastbound lanes will be closed, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. The following ramps will also be closed: SR 7 northbound off-ramp to westbound Sample Road; SR 7 southbound off-ramp to eastbound Sample Road; SR 7 northbound on-ramp from eastbound Sample Road; SR 7 southbound on-ramp from westbound Sample Road. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained at all times. Westbound Sample Road will remain open. Reclaimed Water Main Installation on NW 39th Avenue
On Monday 6/15/2020, the roadway between Crescent Creek Drive and NW 71st Street will be closed from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The residents on NW 71st St. will be able to access NW 39th Ave from Hillsboro Blvd. The residents inside Crescent Creek will have a traffic light set up at the entrance and on NW 74th St. and will have to travel north/south to 74th St. in order to gain access. This area will be one way traffic with the use of the traffic light. The west entrance to NW 39th Ave from Waterview at Coconut Creek Apartments will be closed as Broward County’s contractor is installing pipe across this entrance.  We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation. Copans and Lyons Road Lane Closures
The City of Coconut Creek will be installing a force main pipe along Copans Road from the Turnpike to Lyons Road and on Lyons Road from Copans Road to north of Sample Road. The project construction duration will be approximately 8 months (October 2020). As part of the project, there will be lane closures on Copans Road and Lyons Road. Lyons Road southbound most western through lane between Sample Road and NW 34 Avenue will be closed for 24 hours for approximately 3 months  (beginning on February 27th). There will only be one through lane southbound. Drivers should find alternate routes. Copans Road westbound between the Turnpike and Lyons Road will have a similar setup but for a shorter period of time.

Most of the work will be performed between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM and there will be instances when overnight work will be necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your support and patience.

Water Main Installation on 39th Avenue

Broward County will be installing a 42-inch reclaimed water main to provide service to Palm Beach County. As part of this project, the City has issued a permit for installation of the piping along NW 39th Ave from Hillsboro Blvd to the C-15 Canal. The project will begin in January 2020 and it is anticipated to be completed by May 2020. Lane closures and detours are expected on NW 39th Ave in the month of February during City construction hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM  M-F.
