Coconut Creek Fire Rescue Achieves Elite CAAS Accreditation

CAAS.2Coconut Creek Fire Rescue has reached a prestigious milestone, earning full accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS), a leading authority in EMS accreditation. On October 28, the CAAS Panel of Commissioners voted unanimously to grant this honor, marking Coconut Creek as the 26th agency in Florida—and only the 185th nationwide—to receive this distinction.

Earlier this month, a team of CAAS reviewers conducted an in-depth evaluation across all three Coconut Creek Fire Rescue stations and the Fire Administration office. The review included comprehensive employee interviews, vehicle inspections, and a meticulous assessment of policies to verify compliance with CAAS’s high standards.

Coconut Creek Fire Rescue not only met but often exceeded each of the 109 CAAS standards, with no deficiencies or non-compliance issues noted, and no corrective actions required.

This accreditation reaffirms Coconut Creek Fire Rescue’s status among the nation’s finest, showcasing excellence in lifesaving techniques, emergency medical protocols, equipment maintenance, and a strong commitment to training, accountability, and employee safety. The CAAS accreditation remains valid through 2027, underscoring the department’s ongoing dedication to top-tier emergency services.
