About the Lecture:
During the time of the Impressionists and the Second Empire, led by Napoleon the Third and his Spanish wife, the Empress Eugenia de Montijo, Parisian tastes gravitated toward Spain. Artists and audiences in the city of light developed a taste for the exotic in Spanish painting, music and dance. Join Armando in discussing this time period and how it influenced European and world cultures.
About the Speaker:
Armando Droulers is an art historian, educator, lecturer, and consultant. He studied at Bard College, Academia de Arte Federico Brandt, New World School of the Arts and The University of Florida. He lectures on art and culture at museums, universities, schools, cultural centers, corporate events and cruise ships. He has lived in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and the United States and speaks fluent English, French and Spanish.
