Achievement of Excellence in Procurement by the National Procurement Institute for organizational excellence in procurement, measured by innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity, and leadership attributes. Coconut Creek is one of only 27 government agencies in Florida and one of only 68 cities in the United States to receive the award.

Distinguished Budget Presentation Award by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for publishing a budget document that meets program criteria as a policy document, as an operations guide, as a financial plan, and as a communications device. 2009 included Special Capital Recognition and Special Performance Measures Recognition.  2015 and 2014 included Special Capital Recognition and Special Performance Measures Recognition.
