Concerns with alligators? Call the Nuisance Alligator Hotline at 866-FWC-GATOR (866-392-4286). Generally, an alligator may be deemed a nuisance if it is at least four feet in length and the caller believes it poses a threat to people, pets or property. Learn more here.


Tethering Ordinance

The City recently reviewed and amended its regulations relating to  the prohibition of cruelty to animals (tethering ordinance).  Included in the new regulations is a change in the time period during which an animal may be tethered. The new times are from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM for a 30-minute period. Tethering is not permitted between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
