ZONING-IN-PROGRESS IN EFFECT FOR ALL USES INVOLVING THE ON-SITE CONSUMPTION OF E-CIGARETTES AND OTHER VAPOR PRODUCING DEVICES
The Coconut Creek City Commission adopted Resolution 2014-46 invoking a Zoning-in-Progress declaration for all on-site consumption of e-cigarettes and other vapor producing devices beginning on July 24, 2014. The City of Coconut Creek is considering amendments to its Land Development Regulations (“LDRs”) to establish regulations relating to the on-site use of e-cigarettes and other vapor producing devices in public places and commercial establishments.
Any new applications for uses involving the on-site use of e-cigarettes and other vapor producing devices in public places and commercial establishments will only be accepted or processed as a special land use subject to the provisions of Chapter 13 of the City’s Code of Ordinances until new or amended LDRs are adopted by the City Commission, or for up to 180 days (until January 20, 2015), whichever occurs first.
Complete applications for uses involving the on-site consumption of e-cigarettes and other vapor producing devices submitted prior to July 24, 2014, will be processed normally according to the LDRs in existence at that time.
