Coconut Creek City Government
Coconut Creek operates with a commission-manager form of government. This system combines the strong political leadership of elected officials, in the form of City Commissioners, with the strong managerial experience of an appointed City Manager.
The City Commissioners hire a professionally trained manager to carry out their directives. The City Manager, in turn, is responsible for the departments and staff who oversee the delivery of public services.
The Mayor and Vice-Mayor are selected by the Commissioners from among themselves and they serve in that position for a period of one year. |
