Coconut Creek joined with the city of Margate (our next door neighbor) in 2000 to provide fire-rescue services to both communities, covering a combined population of more than 90,000 residents over 23 square miles.

Coconut Creek's Fire Administration handles fire prevention activities, inspections and safety information for Coconut Creek residents, and Margate Fire/Rescue provides emergency fire and rescue response to both our City and Margate.

Margate - Coconut Creek Fire Rescue has four stations, one ladder company, three engine companies, five full-time rescue units and a dive rescue team for water emergencies in area canals, lakes and waterways.
