January 07, 2008

The City of Coconut Creek Parks & Recreation Department Home Grown Concerts welcomes, Shane Le Mar & Shamba-la to the Band Shell at the Community Center on Friday, January 11, 2008.

Shamba-la will perform from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Band Shell behind the Coconut Creek Community Center at 1100 Lyons Road. Shane Le Mar and Shamba-la is a quirky non-traditional folk/rock band based in Fort Lauderdale. Its members have been making music together for over 5 years and consist of Shane Le Mar on lead vocals and guitar, Nancy Rose on violin, percussion and vocals, Scott Daycock on trumpet, keyboards and vocals, Joe Greff on drums and Lawrence Odum on vocals and percussion. Shamba-la performs originals and cover songs.

The Home Grown Concerts happens the second Friday of each month. The concerts are free to the public and begin at 7:00 p.m. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs for your seating comfort. Refreshments, provided by Publix (Winston Park location), will be available for purchase.

Come out and celebrate our Home Grown talent with us, at a family oriented, free monthly event, where you can enjoy music in a beautiful, relaxing setting. For more information, contact the Special Events Hotline at 954-545-6620
