BENT FENDER TO PERFORM AT HOME GROWN CONCERT SERIES

December 05, 2007

The City of Coconut Creek Parks & Recreation Department Home Grown Concerts welcomes local favorites, Bent Fender to the Band Shell at the Community Center on Friday, December 14, 2007.

Bent Fender will perform 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Band Shell behind the Coconut Creek Community Center at 1100 Lyons Road. Bent Fender was formed in 1993, by guitarist Michael Beeson, who has performed with such legends as Stephen Stills, Neil Young and Beach Boy, Dennis Wilson.

The band brings a great sense of humor to the stage and features Beeson on guitar, drummer/bassist/flautist Mark “Crash” Harris, Jerry Hester on bass and rhythm guitar and the newest member, Tony Viscardi on guitar. Bent Fender plays everything from your favorite Classic Rock and Blues to Traditional Country and more obscure Jazz and Swing Tunes. One thing for sure, you’ll have a great time.

The Home Grown Concerts happens the second Friday of each month. The concerts are free to the public and begin at 7:00 p.m. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs for your seating comfort. Refreshments, provided by Publix (Winston Park location), will be available for purchase.

Come out and celebrate our Home Grown talent with us, at a family oriented, free monthly event, where you can enjoy music in a beautiful, relaxing setting.
