Butterfly Festival - Feb. 24th

January 17, 2007

It was just 40 years ago that Coconut Creek became a city. Join the City as we proudly celebrate our anniversary at the 5th Annual Butterfly Festival, Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Sabal Pines Park, 5005 NW 39th Avenue.

Join the City for a full day of fun and activities like Butterfly Kite Flying, children’s rides and games, live music, a visit from the Miami Heat X-Treme Team, a Business Expo, fireworks display and food and beverages.

This year’s featured entertainment is “The B Street Band”, a Bruce Springsteen tribute band, who have been performing for over 20 years all around the country. The B Street Band has performed with many of the members of Springsteen’s legendary, E Street Band. Leading up to the B Street Band, enjoy the sounds of Flute Factor (Jazz), Hot Brass Monkey (R&B/Classic Rock/Blues) and Odd Man Out (Rock). And, don’t miss the Miami Heat X-Treme Team performing their high energy interactive show. The day’s festivities will be capped off by a very special spectacular fireworks display from Zambelli! And, best of all, admission is free.

Free shuttle service will be available from Monarch High School at 5050 Wiles Road and from the Recreation Complex at 4455 Sol Press Blvd. The shuttle will run from 1:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.

So, mark the date on your social calendar now . . . February 24, 2007 at Sabal Pines Park for the 5th Annual Butterfly Festival. The festival is sponsored by the Seminole Casino at Coconut Creek, Northwest Medical Center, Coconut Creek Life, FP&L, Solantic Urgent Care, Fidelity Federal, Ruden, McClosky, et al, Pepsi Bottling Company, All Service, Humana, BankAtlantic, Mercer and Waste Management.
