Veteran's Day Ceremony

The City of Coconut Creek Parks & Recreation Department, and the Coconut Creek American Legion Post # 170, will co-sponsor a Veterans Day Ceremony on Saturday, November 11, 2006.

The event is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM, at Veterans Park, located on the southeast corner of Lyons Road and Sample Road.

Activities scheduled to take place will include a rifle salute and taps by the Coconut Creek Police Department Honor Guard. The Jr R.O.T.C. of Coconut Creek High School will present and retire the colors. The “National Anthem” and “God Bless America” will be sung.

Refreshments will be served following the ceremony. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at the Recreation Complex, 4455 Sol Press Boulevard.
