The City of Coconut Creek Parks & Recreation Department is offering a child obesity class for children ages 9-11.

The 6-week program class will take place on Wednesdays, November 1, 2006 thru December 6, 2006 from 3PM-4PM, at the Recreation Complex, 4455 Sol Press Blvd.

The first week will be a nutrition lecture for parents and children given by Dr. Kryzenski, Certified Nutritionist. Weeks 2-6 will consist of a healthy/nutritional activity, followed up with a different sport each week. Children will learn the basic rules, regulations and skills to participate and get in their daily quota of physical activity.

There fee is $10.00 for Coconut Creek residents and $15.00 for non-residents. Registration is ongoing until October 27, 2006, space is limited. Come out and learn about how to keep your children healthy.
