Attend Home Grown Free Concert - June 9th

June 05, 2006

The City of Coconut Creek is pleased to announce the next performance in our “Home Grown” concert series at the Atala Pavilion at the Coconut Creek Community Center, located at 1100 Lyons Road.

Please join us on Friday, June 9th, 6:30 p.m., as we welcome the European Charity Tour Band. The members are students of North Broward Preparatory School and this concert will serve as a kick off to their European Tour.

The Charity Tour Band plays for sick or under-privileged children, and as the Band tours Europe, they will provide the gift of music and help raise funds for the International Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Band will travel to such locations as England, Holland, Poland, and Czechoslovakia.

When they visit Vienna, Austria, they will be granting the wish of a 6 year old girl who lives there. Her wish is to have a new bedroom set and clothes in her favorite color, pink. And thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the European Charity Tour Band, she will get her wish.

The Home Grown concert series is sponsored in part by Coco Parc Condominiums, and happens the second Friday of each month. There will be a break in July and August. Each month will feature a different performer and a variety of music styles.

The concerts are free to the public and will begin at 6:30 p.m. Blankets and lawn chairs are welcomed, but there will be some chairs set up for the public. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

So come out and celebrate our Home Grown talent with us, at a family oriented, free monthly event, where you can enjoy music in a beautiful, relaxing setting. For more information, contact the Community Center at 954-545-6670.

Sponsored by CocoParc Condominiums.
