Christmas Tree Disposal

January 06, 2006

Coconut Creek residents are encouraged to discard their unadorned Christmas trees with their garbage during the week of January 9th, 2006 to coincide with the City’s quarterly household trash collection on January 11th.

Single-family homeowners can place their trees curbside to be collected with their garbage. Multi-family homeowners can place their trees at a location specified by their property manager.

When possible, cut large trees in half to make it easier for collection crews to handle. All Service Refuse, the City’s franchised hauler, will be collecting the trees. For more information, call All-Service Refuse at (954) 583-1830.

If you wish to recycle your Christmas tree, you may participate in the County’s Chip-A-Tree program from December 26th through January 22nd, 9am-5pm, at Tradewinds Park, (954) 968-3880 or Fern Forest Nature Center, (954) 970-0150. You can contact Broward County’s Parks and Recreation Department for additional information by calling (954) 357-8100.
