On September 17, the City of Coconut Creek invites all residents to join us in celebrating our certification as a Community Wildlife Habitat through the National Wildlife Federation.

Coconut Creek is the first city in Florida to be designated as a Community Wildlife Habitat. The City achieved this honor by certifying over 150 homes and 22 government properties and Backyard Wildlife Habitats, plus 5 schools and Schoolyard Habitats.

Additionally, various initiatives were started or enhanced such as a Wildlife Gardening Series, educational classes for local students, informational booths at local events and our Free Tree Giveaway.

The event will occur at the Community Center on Lyons Road and Coconut Creek Parkway from
4 PM – 6 PM.

There will be live music and food for all to enjoy.
