Overgrown Vegetation Clean-up

July 29, 2005

FREE PROGRAM FOR SOUTH CREEK RESIDENTS ONLY

The City of Coconut Creek and the COCOMAR District are pleased to announce a joint overgrown vegetation clean-up program along the canal banks at no expense to home owners.

If you have any overgrown trees, hedges or bushes that extend over the public canal system, you could take advantage of this one-time offer by signing the attached Hold Harmless Agreement, CLICK HERE, no later than August 10, 2005.

Please mail the Agreement to:
JoAnne Lindholm
City of Coconut Creek
Utilities & Engineering Department
4800 West Copans Road
Coconut Creek, FL 33063

Be sure to include your address legibly on the return Agreement.

It is critical that all landscaping along the canal system be trimmed and maintained regularly according to permit requirements and City Code. By not responding to the Agreement, the affected property owners would make the project more costly for the City and themselves.

If you choose not to sign the Agreement, you must trim any overgrown vegetation at your own expense by August 31, 2005. Failure to trim would result in Code enforcement action.

BOAT DOCKS, PIERS, SEAWALLS

City Code requires you to maintain docks, piers, and seawalls in good condition. At this time, there is no City assistance for maintenance nor required corrective action.

For further information, call 954.973.6786.
