City Manager "Town Meetings" Scheduled for May
 May 09, 2005
Coconut Creek City Manager John Kelly invites all residents to join him for two community input "Town Meetings" to be held in May.
"These meetings are held annually to give residents an opportunity to have input to our budget preparations," City Manager Kelly said. "The purpose is to share information about proposed community projects and to solicit ideas and recommendations from residents on projects and programs for the City to include in the next Budget."
Projects discussed may include (but are not limited to) the Coconut Creek Commons (Main Street) project, the Wildlife Certification, stormwater issues and the Neighborhood Enhancement Program.
The City is currently preparing the budget for the 2005-06 fiscal year. The final proposed budget will be presented to the City Commission for approval in late summer. The new fiscal years begins in October. The City hopes as many residents as possible will participate in order to communicate what needs they feel should be addressed in their respective neighborhoods.
The meetings will be held in the Commission Chambers at the Government Center, 4800 W. Copans Road. The first meeting will be Thursday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to noon, and the second on Tuesday, May 17 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
