Notice of Municipal General Election

December 27, 2004

Notice is hereby given that a Municipal Election will be held in the City of Coconut Creek, Florida, on Tuesday, March 8, 2005, for the purpose of electing three City Commissioners.

The Commission seats, having a three-year term, represent Districts B, C, and E. Any person who is a qualified voter of the specific district, and who has been a resident of the City for a minimum of twelve (12) months prior to filing as a candidate, may qualify with the City Clerk from 12:00 Noon, Monday, January 3, 2005, until 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, January 18, 2005. There will be a candidate-qualifying fee of $277.00.

All qualified voters of the City of Coconut Creek, whose names appear in the registration books of the Office of the Supervisor of Elections of Broward County, Florida, will be eligible to vote in said election. The registration books shall close on February 7th, 2005, at 5:00 p.m. Absentee voting shall be permitted through the Broward County Office of the Supervisor of Elections.

The election shall be held in accordance with the Charter of the City of Coconut Creek, Florida, and the State of Florida Election Laws.
