November 12 is "SpongeBob SquarePants Day" In Coconut Creek

Coconut Creek Mayor Lou Sarbone pronounced Friday, Nov. 12 "SpongeBob SquarePants Day" in the City of Coconut Creek in honor of the Nickelodeon superstar's visit that day to students at Winston Park Elementary School.
Students who participated in Broward County's Schools Character Education Traits program by writing SpongeBob stories using the traits "responsibility" and "citizenship" presented their books to the animated superstar. Students also created special SpongeBob artwork, which will be displayed at the Muvico Palace in Boca Raton when the character's feature film "The SpongeBob SquarePants" movie opens November 19.
Mayor Sarbone presented SpongeBob with a Key to the City, praising the character's assistance to education.
