| What to Do if You Receive a Violation Warning |
| Call the Community Improvement Officer noted on the notification document to find out how you can correct the problem. If you cannot comply with the compliance date stated, you may request one extension. Extensions may be granted provided you are making progress in complying with the violation. A follow-up inspection will be performed to determine compliance or if further action is needed.
If the violation continues past the required compliance date, a Summons to Appear may be issued for you to appear before a Special Master for a determination of the action needed to be in compliance.
If there is noncompliance, additional time may be allowed to comply with the violation, or a fine may be instituted that can run on a daily basis until there is compliance. If the violator is unwilling to correct the problem in a timely manner, the City can arrange to eradicate the violation and all costs. Posted on March 30, 2002 07:48 PM |
